History

While only minutes from Dublin City Centre, we are located in a relaxed mature/residential area which is steeped in Irish history.

Beside the hotel are the famous National Botanic Gardens, developed over two centuries ago containing many thousands of plants.  The living plants are arranged in botanical groups, according to their geographical origins.

A short stroll from the hotel will take you to the famous burial ground of one of the country's greatest patriots, Daniel O'Connell.  His burial vault is beneath the 160ft high replica of an Irish round tower, built in white granite. It is also the resting-place of Michael Collins and Eamon DeValera.   

For those who prefer the attractions of Downtown Shopping, The Theatre or Dublin Nightlife, a regular bus service serves the city with the bus stop directly across from the hotel.
